Whist we have not had the opportunity to organise a specific Annual Fundraising Event in 2024, we have again supported organisations specifically in our corner of North-East Scotland, with a focus on Children and Cancer support charities. We have also taken the opportunity to continue our support of the great work of the St. James's Place Charitable Foundation, where the focus is on helping children and young people who have a physical or learning disability or are disadvantaged, Hospices, Cancer support charities and Mental Health. https://www.sjpfoundation.co.uk/
In September 2023 we held a Charity Dinner & Dance in aid of “Supporting Nepal’s Children” who’s aim is to bring quality education to the remote Nepali villages so that their children can flourish, learn new skills, and create opportunities for themselves whilst staying within their own community – on the evening we raised £7,500, with this sum matched by St. James's Place Charitable Foundation to support UK children’s charities. https://www.supportingnepalschildren.org.uk/
The year earlier, in September 2022, we held our first ever Charity Ball in aid of Friends of Anchor, who are a central hub of cancer and haematology care for the North-east of Scotland, and work closely with NHS Grampian to provide crucial funding for transformative equipment, specialist wellbeing services, pioneering research and education, and clinical excellence. We were humbled at the generosity of our guests at both events raising £26,000 at our Ball. https://www.friendsofanchor.org/
